Asogli Ekbo

Asogli Ekbo was founded after the last visit to the village to raise funds through the sale of Ghanaian bags. Marias (Jan’s grandson) and his girlfriend Naomi visited the village in September 2022. There, they met Suzi (pictured left), who was busy making bags out of beautiful Ghanaian fabrics.

They brought back more than 50 bags to the Netherlands. With these bags, the members of our foundation visited friends and family to raise money for the village in Ghana through sales.

This was so well received that we didn’t stop selling the bags after those first 50, and we’re now working together to keep Suzi’s initiative and idea moving forward.
